EMPLOYMENT - INTERN

Internship with the New Jersey Soccer Group offers the perfect opportunity for individuals interested in a career in sports management, sports business, or sports event management. In order to accommodate a broad array of candidates' interests, we offer both part-time and full-time internships in all facets of our organization. An internship with the New Jersey Soccer Group presents a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the daily operation of a national level, professionally run soccer organization, with senior teams competing at the highest levels of semi-professional soccer in the United States, and a strong, competitive youth program. New Jersey Soccer Group internships are unpaid and do not provide accommodation, although we can consider exceptions based on exceptional candidates and / or circumstances.


Communications Intern

New Jersey Soccer Group Communications Interns will assist with all aspects of the department's activities and responsibilities, including:

Evaluation of candidates is based on two primary elements: writing ability and knowledge of soccer. Those with strong knowledge of soccer and excellent written and verbal communication skills are encouraged to apply. Applications should include a writing sample.


Operations and Logistics Intern

Intern(s) will be responsible for day-to-day duties revolving around the team, stadium, and events throughout New Jersey. Specific tasks will include:

Candidates should have strong organizational skills, be very detail oriented, available to assist with office tasks when the team is on away trips, and be able to assist with logistical planning and game day operations. Candidates should also be able to perform light physical duties on a daily basis, have a car and a working knowledge of the area (we reimburse for mileage).


Marketing Intern

This position will work closely on relationships involving the New Jersey Soccer Group’s Official Sponsors. Responsibilities may include:

Successful candidates are motivated and take initiative to gain needed materials/specifics. Must be detail oriented and organized.

Candidates should have a full time commitment and a flexible schedule, as many events fall on evenings and weekends.


Sales Intern

New Jersey Soccer Group Sales interns will have an opportunity to learn about one of the most pivotal aspects of a professional sports team's front office - ticket sales. A sales intern will have the following responsibilities:

The candidate should possess a strong business concentration with an added interest in marketing. He/she should possess excellent interpersonal skills and be enthusiastic towards soccer and the sports industry. He/she should also be self-motivated, competitive, and have a willingness to learn and adapt.
